    The School Day

At Marshfields, we provide a structured and predictable school day that supports learning, communication, wellbeing and independence. Clear routines help our students know what to expect and support them to feel safe, settled and ready to learn.

Our school day includes dedicated time for literacy, reading, numeracy and personal development alongside the wider curriculum. Students also have regular breaks and a lunchtime period to support social interaction, regulation and wellbeing.

A School Day Designed Around Our Learners

While the timetable provides the structure for our school day, learning at Marshfields is personalised. The way a lesson looks may be different across our Explorers, Enrichment, Engagement and Enhancement Pathways.

Teaching and activities are adapted to students' communication, sensory, physical and learning needs. Individual programmes, therapeutic approaches, movement and regulation opportunities may also be incorporated throughout the day where required.

This means that every student can access a school day that is structured and consistent, while still being responsive to their individual needs and EHCP provision.
