Marshfields is a mixed, day, community special school. We cater for 170 learners aged from 11 to 19 each of whom has a Statement of Special Educational Need, primarily for moderate learning difficulties.
Marshfields is a SHAPED community. In all that we do, we strive to be:
Marshfields School Christmas Fair was a sell-out success thanks to the hard work and effort of staff and students who contributed to the event, and turned out after a hard day at work to man the stalls, serve refreshments, and entertain the large number of visitors who came to the event. We are grateful also, to all those who donated items for the fair. Younger children (and some older ones) where thrilled to see that Santa and one of his elves had managed to find time at this busy time of year to hear Christmas wishes and give out gifts from his fairy-lit grotto.
The School is saddened to hear of the death of former South African president, Nelson Mandela, a key figure in the teaching of Citizenship and global diversity. Mr Mandela was 95 and died at home.
