Our Bungalow
We offer a unique opportunity for our students at Marshfields to develop life skills in the 'real life' setting of our school bungalow. We also offer this facility to other special and main stream schools, and to local community groups.
The Bungalow is now in its third school year. It has been a huge success with the students here at Marshfields and they often approach me to find out whose turn it is to come in next.
The year 11 students have all completed a 4-day program and some have returned to brush up on their skills.
The Bungalow is also proving a hit with other schools. Heltwate have used it throughout the year and they can’t wait to come back again. In fact word of this brilliant resource is spreading and other schools wanting to use its facilities for their students contacted me this week. I have even heard that it got a mention as a resource by an Occupational Therapist at a students review in another school.
We at Marshfields are so lucky to have this brilliant facility and we must look after it.
