Murder Mystery Evening
Marshfields School Presents
Murder

Leading student’s learning requires a broad repertoire of teaching. We recognise that some teaching approaches are better suited to promote particular learning.
To promote speaking and listening, which is central to literacy development, we read a variety of murder mystery novels looking at ‘clues’ and how authors use language to build tension.
The culmination of this topic was a Murder Mystery Evening. All staff lent their support, either as characters, members of the audience or in catering for a 1950’s meal at the ‘High School Café’. Students were able to discuss, explain and justify choices as they discovered the identity of the ‘murderer’!
Some Dodgy Characters!
