DT - Year 8 Projects
Year 8 students will begin the year by making a set of decorative bookends. This project is to build on skills of measurement and accuracy learned in year 7. They will research made objects for sale online and learn to recognise the characteristics of attractive popular versions of their work. Their designs can be adapted to meet the needs and tastes of a range of situations.
Photo frame holder made from recycled and reusable materials. This project is designed to help students understand the need to make maximum use of all materials as well as appreciate the breadth of eye-catching and modern products of this type that are available in the wider world.
