SEND Information Report (Local Offer)
The support we provide seeks to be student centred and we work to liaise with parents and professionals to ensure that our students make progress and achieve their full potential, successfully transitioning into adulthood as ‘SHAPED’ citizens.
We have a dedicated teaching team across a wide range of subjects who have experience of working with young people with varied special educational needs.
Our teachers receive regular training and opportunity throughout an academic year to extend their knowledge and skill base of effective classroom strategies in order to meet the needs of students within their class.
Our teachers and support staff recognise the importance of delivering Quality First Teaching in all lessons and as a result, teachers plan and deliver creative and inspiring learning tasks that are visual, practical and varied in order to engage and motivate learners.
Our students follow a differentiated Secondary National Curriculum. Marshfields School aims to ensure students’ needs are met by a differentiated curriculum as well offering individualised support through bespoke strategies and interventions, addressing the needs as outlined in the EHC plan.
