The PE departments run regular after school extra-curricular activities to allow each students to develop their health and fitness related skills.
There are four key skills areas that each student shall improve during their after school activities and they are broken down into the following categories:
Technique - Ball control, dribbling skills, passing accuracy and body control
Game Intelligence – Spatial awareness, tactical knowledge and risk assessment
Physical Fitness – Endurance, balance, coordination, speed, strength and power
Proper Mindset – Compassion, composure, mental strength, coachability and self-motivation.
The techniques above are related to football however these same techniques and skills can be learnt and applied through all other after school extra-curricular activities from basketball to cricket.
The schedule for the after school extra-curricular activities are as follows:
From start of term until Christmas term – football extra-curricular club runs every Tuesday until 16:30
After Christmas until the end of Easter term – basketball extra-curricular club runs every Tuesday until 16:30
After Easter until the end of summer term – cricket extra-curricular club runs every Tuesday until 16:30
