Healthy Eating Week
Marshfields started the week with an assembly where a well looked after engine was compared to our bodies.
The comparison being that both need the right fuel in the right amount along with water in order to work properly.
During Food lessons the students have been making healthy snacks to sell at break time.
Fruit pots, wholemeal muffins, wholemeal pizzas, calzones and oat cookies being on the menu.
During Friday morning parents will cook alongside their children in a healthy eating workshop.
Certificates will be awarded to students who have joined in the week with interest and enthusiasm.
Students are also encouraged to perform the following challenges:
- Eat breakfast
- Get active
- Drink more water
- Have 5 a day
- Make a change
Sales from break time healthy snacks have raised £42,60. well done to those who cooked, sold and bought the products. All the money will go towards the Year 11 Prom.
Massive Thank You!
